The novel C6 Ketone Di-ester, bis-hexanoyl (R)-1,3-butanediol (BH-BD) is an example of a ketone ester that strongly induces hepatic ketogenesis. BH-BD was recently developed as Metabolic Switch®, a food ingredient to induce ketosis in humans.
Results demonstrate that consumption of Metabolic Switch® effectively induces exogenous ketosis in healthy adults at rest.
